WBD reopens Paramount talks

(CNN)– The bidding war for media giant Warner Brothers Discovery is heating up.

The company has told paramount it is willing to hear its “best and final” proposal to acquire it.

For the past several weeks, WBD has rebuffed Paramount’s attempts to swoop in on its standing deal to be acquired by Netflix.

Paramount has been appealing directly to shareholders in a hostile takeover bid, and also filed a lawsuit.

One thing it hasn’t done recently is increase its offer price.

Now, WBD is saying show us the money before a special shareholder meeting scheduled for March 20.
