Carolina Day, HBCU Day at SC State House

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Institutions of higher learning were well represented at the State House Tuesday.

Tuesday, Feb. 17, was Carolina Day at the State House in honor of the University of South Carolina, and it was also HBCU Day.

This morning members of the legislative Black caucus gathered to recognize HBCU Day and highlight the vital role historically Black colleges and universities play in South Carolina’s educational, economic, and cultural future.

South Carolina is home to eight historically black colleges and universities.
