SC State president to hold online update Thursday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – On Wednesday, South Carolina State University (SCSU) announced via social media and the university’s website that SC State President Alexander Conyers will provide an update during an online session at 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19.
According to a post on the university’s Facebook page, during the Microsoft Teams session is for students, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders, President Conyers will give “…a timely update on current campus developments, university priorities, and next steps with clarity and transparency.”
The post also says, “The university will accept clear and concise questions for the president in advance.”
Anyone who would like to submit a question, must do so by noon Thursday. Submit a question.
The university says it will pre-select questions “to ensure a well-rounded discussion.”
SC State Director of Customer Service Angel E.R. Pointer will host the online session. Join and watch the online session.
Nearly a week ago, two people died after an on-campus shooting that also injured a student.
According to investigators, 18-year-old Khamanti Kennedy is charged with murder in connection with the shooting.
