Woman arrested following Valentine’s Day weekend assault at Sam’s Club

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sheriff Leon Lott says an arrest has been made in the assault at Sam’s Club case.

Over the weekend on Saturday, Feb. 14, Richland Co. deputies responded to a reported assault that happened at Sam’s Club.

The sheriff’s dept. says, investigators were able to view surveillance footage from Sam’s Club of the incident and determine that Ashley Murff was the primary aggressor.

Murff was identified, and investigators obtained a warrant for her arrest.

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, around 9:30 a.m., investigators arrested Murff and charged her with assault and battery 3rd degree.

She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where she is awaiting a bond hearing.
