RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a stabbing that happened Sunday, say deputies.

Law enforcement say deputies responded in the 1700 block of Decker Boulevard in reference to an assault that occurred on February 22, 2026, just after 2 a.m.

Upon their arrival, deputies located two victims who were both suffering from stab wounds.

Deputies at the scene rendered aid until EMS arrived.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital; and both were conscious and alert at the time they were taken.

The suspect(s) left the area prior to deputies’ arrival, says RCSD.

Investigators are still working to determine exactly what led to the assault.
