6 new measles cases in Upstate bring outbreak total to 985
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Health officials have released more information about new cases of measles being reported in the Upstate.
According to SCDPH, there are six new cases of measles in the state since Tuesday.
The new cases brings the total number of cases in South Carolina related to the Upstate outbreak to 985.
Based on the new cases, DPH has identified public exposures at Sugar Ridge Elementary (fewer than five individuals in quarantine).
Also, the Dept. of Public Health has identified a new public location where exposures to infectious measles have occurred.
DPH has defined the time of potential exposure at the following location:
- Costco – Spartanburg at 211 W. Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, S.C. on Sunday, Feb. 22, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
