Rep. Norman, SC Safe Elections call for paper ballots

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Thursday morning, candidate for governor and Representative Ralph Norman joined with members of the group South Carolina Safe Elections to call for the use of hand-marked paper ballots.

Team Leader Laura Scharr says they want a, “system where every ballot is secure, transparent, verifiable, and accessible to eligible voters.”

Members say they *don’t* trust electronic machines, and want hand-marked ballots to be hand-counted in every precinct.

While no tangible proof of voter fraud in South Carolina was provided by the group, members say they haven’t been able to verify that no fraud exists because requested data has not been provided to them.

ABC Columbia reached out to the South Carolina Election Commission for comment but has not yet received a response.
