Major streaming services becoming one

(CNN)– Two major streaming services are going to become one.

Paramount+ and HBO Max will form a single streaming platform after Paramount’s merger with Warner Brothers Discovery.

Paramount CEO David Ellison announced the plan during an investor callMonday, March 2, 2026.

Ellison did not reveal a name or pricing for the streamer, saying the combination would take place “over the coming years.”

The merger must still be approved by regulators, which will take at least several months.
