Walmart rolls out digital labels

(CNN)– Walmart shoppers may soon notice a big change to store shelves.

The retail giant is switching out its paper price labels to digital ones.

According to a Walmart news release, they’re rolling out the digital shelf labels at all U.S. locations within the next year.

Walmart says the digital shelf labels are controlled through a centralized system, and will allow for faster price changes.

The digital shelf labels also help employees stock and fulfill online orders quicker.
