Senator Scott sponsors Kids in Class Act

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In Washington, Senator Tim Scott says he has introduced the Kids in Classes Act.

According to Scott, the measure would protect students from learning loss when schools close due to public health emergencies or prolonged teacher strikes.

Specifically the bill would give parents access to unused Title One funds to be used for things like; instructional materials, private school tuition, or testing fees.

Utah Congressman Burgess Owens is sponsoring the bill in the U.S. House.
