COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Well, folks laced up their tennis shoes for a good cause over the weekend and we were there.
The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina held its 5th annual Walk, Run, and Roll for brain injury awareness.
The event took place Sunday at the Beer Keller Brewing Company at Cornell side in Columbia, bringing together survivors, families and supporters from across the Midlands.
Organizers say every dollar raised goes to help the organization maintain and expand its vital programs that offer hope, healing and connection to those affected by brain injury.
The organizers wanted to raise awareness about how individuals who sustained brain injuries or strokes or brain tumors that need services.
