Move with the music at the 3rd Annual Ubuntu Dance Festival this Friday!
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Get ready for a night of unity through the wonderful art of dancing!
Ly-Ben Dance Alliance’s 3rd Annual Ubuntu Dance Festival is Friday at 7 p.m. at C.A. Johnson High School, 2219 Barhamville Rd.
Curtis spoke with Ly-Ben’s founder Gail Glover about how this event celebrates all types of dances to celebrate the spirit of Ubuntu, which is an African philosophy meaning “I am, because we are.”
There will also be a Dance Free Day with free dance classes on Saturday at 9 a.m., located at the Columbia Music Festival Association, 914 Pulaski St.
Both events are free to attend but they do ask for donations to help fund future events.
