Former Richland Co. deputy arrested, charged with assault
Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. Sheriff Leon Lott says former deputy Tiffany Anderson, 45, was arrested and charged with simple assault.
Investigators say on Monday deputies responded to a home on Laurel Bluff Court in reference to an assault.
Deputies say an investigation revealed Anderson had been in an argument and struck the victim multiple times causing injuries.
Sheriff Lott says Anderson was terminated from her position and arrested.
She had served with the department since July of 2024
“Her actions are inexcusable; it makes me angry to see someone who is entrusted with enforcing the law break it,” said Sheriff Leon Lott. “My deputies know I will hold them accountable.”
