Local Living: Celebrate local artists, 50% off at SCSM, Columbia Food and Wine Festival, Midlands Gives

 

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, mark your calendars for Columbia’s 34th annual Artista Vista.

It celebrates visual arts and performing arts from local artists.

Over the three days you can participate in six events including the gallery crawl, art day,  and the lights and lantern parade.

It all takes place April 17 through April 19 in the Vista District.

 

You can celebrate your Spring break at the state museum.

From April 4 through April 11, the museum is offering 50% off general admission for kids ages 3 to 12.

Visitors can explore four floors of exhibitions and enjoy immersive experiences in the 4D theater and planetarium.

 

Get ready for a fun and tasty time at the annual Columbia Food and Wine Festival next month.

Several restaurants will serve delicious meals and drinks.

There will also be games, live music and much more.

It takes place April 22 through April 26.

 

The early giving period for Midlands Gives starts this Wednesday and runs through Monday May 4.

The 13th annual Midlands Gives Day starts Tuesday, May 5th from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Event officials say they’ve raised more than $32 million since 2014.
