Local leaders celebrate Children’s Advocacy Day

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026, local leaders joined together for the state’s 15th annual Children’s Advocacy Day.

The goal of the event is to call attention to the state’s children’s advocacy centers which according to officials provide services for more than 14,000 children in South Carolina each year.

Officials say 1 out of 10 children are abused by the age of 18.
