Man accused of kidnapping teens facing charges in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man accused of kidnapping two teens by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is now facing charges in Richland County.

Investigators say Darrius Gilmore arranged to meet the two 15 year old girls on Killian Lakes Drive.

During the encounter, deputies say Gilmore became agitated and tied the girls up.

Investigators say he then drove them to a secluded area in Calhoun County where he committed additional violent acts against the teens before they were able to escape.

Deputies say in addition to his charges in Calhoun County, Gilmore is now charged with kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Richland County.
