Members of SC Incident Response Team heading to Hawaii to aid in recovery efforts after flash floods

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Members of the South Carolina Incident Response Team are heading to Hawaii to aid in recovery efforts following flash floods.

Governor Henry McMaster authorized the deployment Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Officials say team members will support ongoing operations in coordination with local, state, and federal partners.

In the past two weeks officials say back to back storms caused more than $1 billion in damage across Hawaii.
