NFL announces flag football leagues
(CNN)– The National Football League is launching a professional flag football league for men and women.
The league announced a $32 million investment in the league months ago.
Now, big names like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Serena Williams will help lead the effort.
League officials say flag football is growing rapidly with more than 4 million kids now playing nationwide.
That’s up more than 50% since 2020, and more than 100 colleges now offer women’s programs.
The push comes ahead of the sport’s Olympic debut in 2028.
