Man sentenced for reckless homicide

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say a reckless homicide suspect has been sentenced for a crash that killed two women in 2023.

21-year-old Jaquice Williams was sentenced to 16 years after pleading guilty to two counts of failure to stop for blue lights resulting in death.

According to investigators, in July of 2023 Williams was spotted in a stolen vehicle.

He then fled a traffic stop on Mallet Hill Road where he later crashed causing a vehicle fire.

Two passengers in that vehicle. 21-year-old Makiya Alford and 19-year-old Keyona Bryant were killed.

Williams is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
