Man sentenced to life for Richland Co. nightclub killing in 2021
RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – A Richland County jury has sentenced a man to life for a fatal nightclub shooting in 2021.
The 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office says James Alterique White, 27, was convicted of murder on March 26, and has been sentenced without the possibility of parole.
According to investigators, on the morning of December 12, 2021, video footage caught White firing 10 shots from a vehicle outside Felicity’s Bar and Grill on Fairfield Road.
Authorities say the victim, Joyel Snell, 45, of Fort Myers, Florida, who was visiting Columbia for the first time, was leaving the nightclub when she was shot and killed.
Deputies also arrested Malcolm Clinton and charged him with murder.
White will serve his sentence at the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
