CPD: Man accused of 2025 shooting arrested for attempted murder

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia PD says a 32-year-old has been arrested for a non-fatal shooting that happened during the Christmas season last year.

Williams was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime & possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

He is accused of shooting a male victim at Hampton Court Apartments the day after Christmas on December 26, 2025.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation, according to Columbia Police Dept.
