Investigators determined that Green left the roadway, hit the curb and a stop sign, and then hit the victim with an SUV.

When officers arrived to the area, they found the victim on the ground with life-threatening injuries.

The man was taken to a hospital and was pronounced deceased last week, according to police.

The Richland Co. Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s name.

Green was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center (ASGDC), and charged with hit-and-run involving death, failure to render aid and provide information, and violation of beginner’s permit.

A judge denied Green’s bond in court on Monday, April 6, says Columbia PD.
