Florence man arrested after being found in stolen car
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter County deputies say a Florence man is being held without bond at the detention center after his arrest.

Friday afternoon, March 13, Sumter County deputies saw a vehicle that had been reported as stolen.
Deputies tried to conduct a traffic stop on Broad Street but the driver who was identified as Quamayne Leequan Brown, 29, of Florence ignored the deputy’s blue lights and siren and attempted to leave the area.
Brown’s vehicle came to a stop near Wise Drive and Paisley Park.
He attempted to flee on foot, but deputies detained him without further incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
Brown was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of implements capable of being used in crime.
Sumter Co. Sheriff’s Office says he was also cited for failure to stop for a blue light, driving under suspension (third offense), improper vehicle license registered to another vehicle, and habitual traffic offender.
