Local Living: Artista Vista, Columbia’s International Festival, Harambee Festival, Garnet and Black Spring Fest

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, mark your calendars for Columbia’s 34th annual Artista Vista.

It celebrates visual arts and performing arts from local artists.

Over the three days you can participate in six events including the gallery crawl, art day, and the lights and lantern parade.

It all takes place April 17 through April 19 in the Vista District.

 

Don’t miss Columbia’s International Festival.

The event showcases music, performing arts, and food from different cultures here in South Carolina.

It takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 18 and from noon to 7 p.m. on April 19 at the state fairgrounds.

 

Benedict College is hosting its 37th annual Harambee Festival.

There will be performances, free health screenings, vendors, food and more.

The festival also provides learning experiences for children and college students.

It kicks off Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Charles W. Johnson Stadium.

General admission is $15 and free for kids 6 and under.

 

The hometown superstar Darius Rucker is headlining the Garnet and Black Spring Fest at the Colonial Life Arena this Saturday at 7 p.m. with a free block party in Foundation Square at 1 p.m.

This will replace the annual spring game which was canceled due to construction at Williams Brice Stadium.
