Kershaw Co. coroner identifies man dead after hit while driving moped
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Kershaw Co. Coroner’s Office says a man is dead after being hit while driving a moped.
Officials got a call around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, about a man on the side of the road.
The coroner’s office says the man was heading toward Elgin on Wildwood Lane on a moped when he was hit by a vehicle.
Also, the coroner’s says the driver of the vehicle left the scene.
The victim was identified as 29-year-old Brandon James Butler of Elgin.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to come forward as the case is still under investigation.
