DPH reports no new measles cases since Friday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The SC Dept. of Public Health says there are no new cases of measles reported since last Friday.

The number of cases related to the Upstate outbreak remains at 997.

And on last Friday, April 17, the department announced that one person in Saluda County has the measles.

There currently is no one in isolation, and 41 are in quarantine related to the Saluda County exposure.

If no new outbreak-related cases are reported, the last day of the outbreak will be April 26, according to the Department of Public Health.

A period of 42 days with no new cases is required to declare an end to a measles outbreak.
