Orangeburg Co. coroner identifies person dead after vehicle vs. bicycle collision

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle has released the name of the person who dead after a motor vehicle vs bicycle collision, say the coroner’s office.

The collision happened on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the 1100 block of Cannon Bridge Road in Cordova.

Coroner Fogle identified the person as 14-year-old Jaxson E. Worthington, of Cordova.

Worthington was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive blunt force injuries sustained in the collision, say the coroner’s office.

The coroner’s office has ruled the manner of death as an accident.
