Man charged with shooting K9 officer in 2024 to have plea hearing
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies say the man charged with shooting a K9 officer back in 2024 will have a plea hearing.
19-year-old Jeremy Taylor’s hearing is at the Richland County Courthouse.
According to deputies, on March 14 of 2024, deputies pulled over Taylor who was driving a stolen truck when he fled on foot.
He then shot at deputies, striking K9 Officer Kobe before deputies returned fire.
K9 Kobe recovered from his injuries.
Taylor is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
