Job openings at highest level in 2 years

(CNN)– A new report shows job postings unexpectedly rose in April.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says they topped 7.6 million.

The number is the highest it’s been in almost two years.

That’s despite economists predicting job postings would shrink for the third month in a row.

The report suggests the U.S. labor market could be stabilizing or possibly even expanding.
