1 taken into custody after foot pursuit in Walmart parking lot

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police says someone was taken into custody after a foot pursuit that began at the Walmart located on Garners Ferry Road.

Early on Wednesday, June 3, investigators identified a person who the Columbia Police Department says was wanted.

When officers attempted to make contact with him, he fled on foot through the Walmart parking lot which investigators say prompted a pursuit.

A second individual involved in the incident was also taken into custody.

The primary suspect, Qu’mond Seawright was wanted on multiple charges stemming from a shooting incident, including firearm-related offenses.
