Summer fan initiatives in the Midlands

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– As the weather heats up this Summer, there is fan initiatives in the Midlands helping to keep people cool.

There is also initiatives to donate fans to be passed out to those in need.

Columbia Police Department:

Columbia Police Department is encouraging fan and AC donations to prep for the hot Summer.

Lexington Police Department:

Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green is reminding residents about the department’s free box fan initiative as the days continue to get hotter.

Anyone in need of a fan should go to Lexington Police Department located at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington for assistance during weekday business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
