SC set to host Kevin Schnall welcome party at Founders Park

University of South Carolina Athletics invites Gamecock fans to Founders Park on Friday, June 12, to officially welcome new head baseball coach Kevin Schnall to Columbia.

The free public event begins at 8:30 p.m. and will feature remarks from Coach Schnall and Athletics Director Jeremiah Donati, along with fireworks, video features and many of the traditions Gamecock fans have come to enjoy at Carolina home events, including rally towels, Sandstorm and more.

Fans in attendance will receive a complimentary “Schnall Ball” T-shirt while supplies last.

Gate 1 at Founders Park, located at the corner of Wheat and Williams Streets, will open at 7:30 p.m. Seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-served basis in Sections 9-15 of the seating bowl. Complimentary parking will be available in Lot 1 on Williams Street near Blossom Street.

To celebrate Coach Schnall’s arrival, fans can enjoy free hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, fountain drinks and bottled water at the First Base Concessions stand. Beer will also be available for purchase.

Please note that the Athletics Department’s Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for the event.
