Pedestrian struck & killed on South Beltline Blvd. in Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police are investigating after a woman was hit and thrown into an embankment Sunday.
According to investigators, at around 5 p.m., a vehicle struck the woman in the 500 block of South Beltline Boulevard, causing her to be thrown into an embankment.
She was taken to the hospital where she later died from her injuries.
Officers say they’ve found no preliminary indication that the driver was impaired at the time of the collision.
