Driver dead; passenger hurt after vehicle wreck on I-95 in Clarendon
CLARENDON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says a driver is dead following a collision on I-95 Monday morning.
It happened on I-95 North at mile marker 132 at 12:36 a.m.
According to Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway, a 2026 Subaru Outback driving north travelled off the right side of the roadway, striking a tree.
Troopers say the driver died on scene from their injuries, while a passenger was injured and taken to the hospital.
The Clarendon County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet.
Highway Patrol is investigating.
