Meta suspends Ai feature

(CNN)– Just days after introducing a new Ai feature on it’s platforms, Meta has shut it down.

The tool allowed users to create Ai photos just like they would normally post selfies or pictures from traveling turning the images into “high-quality visuals.”

The new tool also allowed people to pull images from public Instagram accounts and tell the chat-bot to create Ai photos based on that public account.

But there has been widespread backlash, particularly from labor unions and Hollywood talent agencies which called the new feature a violation of privacy and likeness rights.
