Chipotle to open 1st location in Mexico

(CNN)– A Mexican restaurant from Denver is trying its hand in Mexico.

Chipotle is opening its first location South of the border Thursday, July 9.

It will be in Metro Monterrey, with an expansion into Mexico City planned for next year.

The quick service chain says it thinks there’s a big interest in the food it makes in Mexico.

It’s part of an aggressive growth strategy that includes 350 new restaurants this year.
