SCDOT to close Sandfield Road Bridge for repairs
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT says Sanfield Road bridge over Simmons Creek in Richland County will close for repairs.
The closure will begin on Monday, July 20, and is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks.
It was implemented following an inspection conducted as part of SCDOT’s routine bridge inspection and maintenance program, says SCDOT.
Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
Crews will repair the bridge pilings to improve the bridge’s durability and provide a safer, longer-lasting structure for drivers, says the SC Dept. of Transportation.
