Netflix announces “Monopoly” game show

(CNN)– Netflix has something cooking for anyone who’s ever dreamed of building a hotel on Boardwalk or Park Place.

The streaming giant is working on a competition series based on the board game Monopoly.

Twelve players will compete for $2 million in a Town Square modeled after the game.

The premiere is still more than a year away, but auditions are taking place now.
