Deputies say on July 18, 2026, at around 8:40 p.m., the sheriff’s dept., responded to the Hair Depot on Decker Blvd in reference to a suspicious person engaging in lewd activity.

Nicholas Lopez is accused of entering the business and began to start a conversation with a woman before exposing himself and rubbing his genitals on her.

The victim alerted store employees and law enforcement was called.

RCSD says Lopez left the hair store prior to law enforcement’s arrival.

Lopez was located a short time later in the 7200 block of Hunt Club Road.

He was positively identified through surveillance footage of the incident, according to Richland Co. Sheriff’s Dept.

Also, he was charged with indecent exposure and criminal sexual conduct 3rd degree.

He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he is still detained on a $2500 surety bond.
