More workers stay at jobs for healthcare

(CNN)– If you stay in a job you don’t like because the health insurance benefits are good, you’re not alone.

A new study from Gallup calls it “job lock’.

It shows roughly a quarter of American workers aren’t leaving jobs they wish they could because they don’t want to lose health coverage.

The 24% marks an increase of eight points since 2021.

That number climbs to 29% among workers with chronic health conditions.

Half of all Americans say they’re worried about being able to afford health care costs over the next twelve months.
