Taco Bell offers lettuce free deals

(CNN)– In an effort to win back customers’ loyalty, Taco Bell is offering lettuce-free deals on certain items.

For one-day only, the company is offering its Enchiritos and regular nacho fries for $1 each.

Weds, July 22’s announcement comes after federal health officials days ago linked lettuce used by Taco Bell to the Cyclospora outbreak.

What followed for the fast-food chain was a major decline in business.

Foot traffic at its stores fell around 30% on July 17.
