25 states sue Trump Administration over FEMA
(CNN)– 25 states and D.C. have sued the Trump Administration accusing FEMA and DHS of withholding disaster relief and counterterrorism funding, unless they adopt election changes.
The lawsuit alleges the administration is using federal money as leverage to force states to comply with its election agenda.
The states say there is no evidence of the widespread voter fraud crisis the administration claims to be addressing.
The new policies require states to share voter rolls with DHS, move toward using hand-marked paper ballots over voting machines, and conduct post-election audits using a methodology approved by the administration.
