Deputies: Man arrested in series of burglaries
Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. deputies say a man is in custody in connection with nine burglaries.
Investigators say between June 1 and the 29th Travis Johnson broke into nine gas stations in the Broad River Rd. and Two Notch Rd. areas stealing cash and cigarettes.
Deputies say he sold the cigarettes online.
According to investigators Johnson was arrested Wednesday on 39 burglary related warrants.
“This is a career criminal,” says Sheriff Lott, “here is someone who has made a living by stealing from others. He wasn’t going to stop until we stopped him.”
