Meet the newest members of SLED’s Special Victims Unit

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — SLED’s Special Victims Unit recently expanded with the addition of Special Agent Benjy Partain and his partner, Chip, an electronic scent detection K9.

The two train seven days a week, running drills where Partain hides a variety of electronic devices for Chip to find.

They practice so they can help SLED and other law enforcement agencies locate devices containing evidence of child sexual abuse material.

Chip also provides another very important function for young victims, as well as Partain and the rest of their team. Watch the video to learn more.
