Burger King makes big gain in sales

(CNN)– There’s a big winner in the recent financial disclosures among fast food chains.

Burger King posted an eight-and-a-half percent boost in sales last quarter.

McDonald’s saw its growth fall to point-eight percent, while Wendy’s plummeted to a seven percent decline.

It was enough for Burger King to overtake Wendy’s as the second biggest burger chain in the U.S.

So what happened?

The financials come six months after Burger King made modest changes to its Whopper, including a new bun, new mayonnaise and box packaging.
