Republican Senate runoff debate set for Aug. 18 in Newberry
(WPDE) — Republican U.S. Senate candidates Darline Graham and Ralph Norman will face off in a runoff debate Aug. 18 at the Newberry Opera House.
The debate comes after Graham and Norman advanced to the Republican runoff in the special U.S. Senate race.
SCGOP State Chairman Drew McKissick congratulated both candidates and said they had previously agreed to participate in the debate.
The debate will give Republican voters an opportunity to hear from both candidates and compare their positions on issues important to voters, McKissick said.
“We want to make sure Republican voters have the opportunity to compare and contrast the candidates on the issues they care about, and get the information they need to make an informed decision,” McKissick said.
The debate is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the historic Newberry Opera House.
Additional details about the debate are expected to be announced soon.
