3 family members split $750,000 scratch-off win

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Three family members in the Midlands are sharing a $750,000 lottery win, say Lottery officials.

The group won the prize on a $10 scratch-off at The Store on Hwy. 6 in Gaston.

“It was in the case that was my favorite number,” says one of the winners. “I scratched it, and we thought it was a joke. I turned the ticket over to make sure it was real.”

The trio cashed in the winning ticket together and each received around $175,000 after taxes.

To celebrate, the winners are taking a family vacation, says SC Lottery.

They beat the odds of 1 in 1,290,000 in the Mighty Jumbo Bucks game to leave just one more $750,000 prize left to be won.
