Amazon expands locker network

(CNN)– Receiving a package when you live in a college dorm can involve multiple steps and a trip to a mailroom.

Amazon wants to make it easier.

The e-commerce giant has expanded its locker network to more than 500 colleges and universities across the U.S.

Some campuses have multiple locker locations.

The idea is students can pick up a package at their convenience.

When it arrives they’ll receive an e-mail with a code to open a locker at a location that they choose.
