Lexington Co. coroner identifies person dead after two-vehicle collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a two-vehicle collision, says the coroner’s office.
The collision happened in the 1500 block of South Lake Drive in Lexington County on Saturday, August 8, around 11:45 a.m.
According to Coroner Fisher, Charles Richard Custar, 59, of Clover, S.C. was traveling southbound on South Lake Drive when he made an improper lane change, hit a vehicle that was also traveling southbound on South Lake Drive, and overturned.
Custar was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, according to the coroner’s office.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the collision.
