Police: One charged another sought in school bus stop shooting

Gaffney, S.C. (WOLO)– Gaffney Police say a teen is charged with Murder and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime following a fatal shooting at a school bus stop Wednesday.

Investigators say Reginald Barnes, 17, is charged in connection with the death of Jomiltron Fair, 17.

Police say they are also searching for Keveon Covington, 18, who is wanted for Murder and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Authorities say he may be armed and dangerous. If you see him do not approach, call 911.

“A young man’s life was cut short. It is incredibly important to report any information you may have on this incident,” said Chief Gerald Knight. “The Gaffney Police Department is committed to public safety and a thorough investigation. I want to thank everyone working on this case for their continued efforts. This is a difficult time for our community, and I ask that we pray for Jomiltron’s family.”
